Since 2015, Biltong Ninja has done more than refine an old tradition: We've started a new one. Guided by century old recipes and techniques, we have brought a true taste of Africa to the UK & USA. Biltong Ninja makes everything in small batches from our home in Buckinghamshire. To achieve optimal flavour, our products are spiced and marinated to perfection, air dried and freshly sliced, making every mouth full of biltong worth your patience!

Ingredients

Biltong Ninja creates fresh, biltong from 100% UK grass fed beef from local farmers. Even our spices are fresh. Just because dry curing is a preservation process doesn’t mean you can use low grade meat or off cuts. We want to give our customers high quality fresh and delicious Biltong & Droewors. Most of all, we want to expand people’s palates and prove that Biltong is a delicious snack and a great, some say, even better and tastier substitute for Jerky.

Pioneers

Tansvaal natives Johann and Hans Pretorius were passionate about hunting and making Biltong. Hans was raised on a steady diet of Biltong, Droewors & Peaches in a traditional South African family. Passing his the knowledge passed on to him from his father onto his grand son- Johann. Helping his grandfather make the spice mixture and prepare the meat, Johann learned from the best. Johann blames his biltong obsession on his grandparents who migrated to Pretoria from Swaziland. Dissatisfied with the Pretoria Biltong ecosystem, his grandparents made fresh Biltong & Boerewors on their farm. Johann became a bit of a biltong-snob, but thinks that everyone should eat delicious things, so it’s really more of an egalitarian snobbery.
